Con l’innocenza di un cartone animato si può raccontare in maniera efficace une delle peggiori atrocità e piaghe dei nostri tempi, i bambini soldato, un tema che appare e scompare dai media importanti. Eppure tanti “children” in molti paesi del mondo vengono assoldati da gente senza scrupoli, che trasformano la loro infanzia in un incubo dal quale è difficile uscire fuori. Per questo va detto grazie a Shakaroot che con il brano “Prisoner In Babylon” e soprattutto con il video che accompagna il brano, anticipazione dell’imminente album dell’artista sardo in uscita nei prossimi mesi, riporta in superfice un tema troppo spesso nascosto. Ancora dunque un elemento vitale della scena reggae proveniente dalla Sardegna, un luogo dove il ritmo in levare diventa sempre più protagonista, come dimostrano le diverse produzioni uscite in questi ultimi anni. Per Shakaroot continua dunque un percorso di crescita dopo che il singolo “Freedom” dello scorso anno su Sa Gana riddim, aveva riscosso buoni consensi anche in Europa.
